Prepared Meals
Our range of locally sourced produce extends from the sprightly fresh fruit and vegetables right through to a wide variety of chilled and frozen meals and other delectable delights in between.
Our longest running supplier of frozen meals is Seasons Restaurant in Lewes, a family run business who prepare delicious, homemade dishes all of which are suitable for vegans with many also being gluten free. Their mouth-watering range of nut roasts, casseroles and curries are freshly prepared and immediately frozen and delivered to us on a weekly basis.
We also offer a range of freshly prepared certified organic frozen meals, many of which are vegan, from Great Nineveh, a company based just over the Sussex border in Kent.
As the company themselves say, "Inspired by food we love from around the world, our recipes are healthy in content and intense in flavour - vegetarian, organic and gluten free - hand made using produce from local farms, and immediately frozen creating convenient food with truly fragrant flavours".
We also stock a selection of both chilled and frozen vegetarian curries and samosas handmade by Chaula's, a family run business, also based in Lewes.
A recent addition to our chilled range is a selection of fresh pasta dishes from Bookham Cheese and Pasta made with their own cheese and butter, which we also sell. Bookham pride themselves on sourcing as many as possible of their ingredients locally and seasonally.
On a separate note, we must also mention Yummy Lollies. Not a frozen meal, so the odd one out here, but a welcome new addition to the freezer cabinet. Yummy Lollies is the creation of Sarah and Zoe, two health-conscious Mums from Brighton who, dissatisfied with the lack of healthy ice-lollies for children on the market, decided to make their own. The result is a range of delicious, organic lollies made from only 100% fruit juice.
