Other Goodies
We have many more products in store that have travelled only a few miles across Sussex to reach us and it is here that we'd like to tell you about them.
As part of our commitment to, and passion for, sourcing locally we are continually on the look out for new products grown and produced within close proximity to us here in the heart of Brighton. It is therefore most enthusing and heartening to see that our range of local products is growing.
As many hay fever sufferers know only too well, the welcome arrival of spring and summer sunshine also brings with it air heavy with pollen. Local honey is widely reputed to offer relief of symptoms to hay fever sufferers and so we are delighted to be able to offer a range of four honeys from different areas in Sussex: Richard Markwick Honey from Anstye near Haywards Heath, Hove Honey, based close to Brighton and Bob's Apiary Honey from Portslade.
Further sweetness and zing can be found in store via the famous Gran Stead's Ginger Drink, made at Mile Oak Farm in Portslade from an old family recipe using fresh ginger root. For something decidedly spicier, the Brighton based Chillipepperpete's range of products offer a wide variety of taste tantalisers made from their own-grown chillies. 'Thai Green Curry' paste, 'Liquid Fire' and 'Harissa' are some of the range available in store.
To tempt many a sweet tooth, we have the decadent offerings from local chocolatiers Cocoa Loco and The Chocolate Heart. Cocoa Loco's range of brownies, handmade truffles and seasonal delicacies such as Easter eggs are a firm favourite with customers. The Chocolate Heart are our most recent discovery and they have won our hearts with their delicious vegan mini chocolate bars and handmade truffles.
